Marginal Way House and Motel

We've been coming to OGT for 25 years and have stayed all over. This was our first time at Marginal Way House and it was excellent. The room (115 in the main house) was exceptionally clean. The check in/check out was flawless and the grounds are beautiful. They have coffee every morning starting at 730am on the porch. They also still have daily cleaning service which is honestly hard to find now, post-covid. We will definitely be back.

Been coming here for 30 years. It's always clean, views are awesome, staff are great. All the rooms have been tastefully redone in the past few years styled in a shady sheik design.

We had an exceptional stay at the Marginal Way House in Ogunquit! We started our honeymoon there and it was like we landed in a movie about a sleepy beach town. Everything was beautiful and the building was stunning! We could enjoy coffee on our porch and watch the tide come in! The location is unbeatable, right on the water with stunning views. Walking the Marginal Way to Perkins Cove was a daily highlight. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and well-appointed. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We can't wait to return!

Marginal Way House has the BEST lawn to sit and enjoy the view, right next to the footpath and off the main road (not noisy like other yard views). This was a last-minute, week-before booking and the staff was polite and I appreciated that they had contact-less check in. The room was cozy for my partner and I, the tiled bathroom and waterfall shower were a fantastic surprise!! I've stayed here before but on the ground floor (with the best view) - and this stay's room and experience were equally amazing.

Truly a beautiful place to say in the quaint and charming town by the ocean. Waking up to sit on the Adirondack chairs by the water was a dream, but a close second was the updated marble bathrooms with a rainfall shower. The staff was lovely. The parking was free (instead of $25 beach lot parking) 5 min walk to the beach. Will absolutely be visiting again!

We had a great stay at the end of October! Room was a decent size, not big nor small. The floorboards are a little squeaky from the upstairs neighbors but to be expected with wood flooring. The check in process was easy and the man at the desk was very friendly!

My cousin and I were lucky enough to find an available room on short notice as we traveled north in Maine. We were both thrilled with the location, service and our lovely room. Room 303 can accommodate 4 people with one king and a pull out trundle bed. Also a well equipped kitchen. Lovely views of the beach from the wrap around deck. Friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with plenty of outdoor seating for guests. One disappointment was the limited parking, only one car per room and we arrived separately with two. We felt lucky to have any parking at all since it is so limited in this area. The Inn is tucked off a side street with very easy access to all the town has to offer. We enjoyed the scenic walk along Marginal Way and walking on the extensive beach at low tide. We were sorry to have such a short visit and will plan to return again for a longer one.

Stayed here in the Dock House several times and it's such a treat watching the tide going out and coming in right out the window and under our balcony, a perfect spot to sit and breathe in the sea air while enjoying the view (from the balcony or the bed!). The rooms in the Dock House are so cozy, comfortable beds, gorgeous bathroom, and easy to use heat and A/C. Very short walk to Shore Road and Main Street, and the bridge to the beach. All I can think of to make it better is a remote control to open the blinds first thing in the morning. ;) A gem of a place!
